£57 million for youth entertainment so they won’t kill you!

September 16, 2008

The government is to announce the funding of £57 million as part of a larger plan to intervene earlier, stopping the young becoming involved in a life of crime. Not too long ago the government threw money at fixing anti-social behaviour. The successfulness of that project could be evaluated upon this higher degree of anti-social behaviour (life of crime). Throwing money at dysfunctional behaviour does not help a delinquent society. Maybe they should start addressing the family values and the role of proper parenting. Once the family unit is broken, all society faces its consequences, and these will become worse as more facilities are built and more recreation fun is silver spooned into the mouths of these broken homed kids. Parents should be accountable for their kids and the re-establishment of what truly makes a “normal-healthy” family imposed on offending households. However this may not be politically correct therefore I think it is easier to throw money!
